They are supplied ready for installation, including heater bands and holes for pressure and temperature sensors. The melt blenders are usually installed downstream of the screen changer & gear pump, and upstream of the die. The very short installation length allows easy retrofitting in existing extrusion lines.
Minimal maintenance and quick product changeover
The Promix melt blenders are characterized by a unique self-cleaning behavior. Thanks to the optimized mixer structure, the melt flows very evenly through the mixer and does not form any dead zones. As a result, Promix melt blenders are maintenance-free in most cases. The very short product or color change times also avoid unnecessary production waste.
